We finally got our DLO done! It took weeks to plan, think and build for our bench that we ended up with. We had a lot of challenges on the way but we got through them and we made a great real life bench. It was very hard trying to make this bench especially the building. For me it was very fun doing this film and building our project was great. I hope you enjoy our film about us building our bench!
Today in literacy we got to pick what we were going to write about. I had wanted to write about the picture that you can see on the second slide. I could have picked a narrative or a explanation but I picked the picture. It was fun but hard trying to find some idea but I got there soon enough.
Travelling back in time.
Today, I woke up hearing loud sounds around me. I fluttered my eyes opened, expecting to see my ceiling but that was the quite opposite. Hi my name is Joseph, And I just woke up seeing a dinosaur right above my head. I sit up quickly and get on my feet. I stare at the small dinosaur. I was trying to figure out why there was a dinosaur in my room until I realised…I wasn’t even in my room!
Instead there were large trees around me and leaves on the dirty floor. I saw that the dinosaur ran away. I started to walk around to find out why I was here. I finally got out of the trees and saw so many dinosaurs! There were T-Rex, Brontosaurus and small ones. I luckily had my phone on me but when I tried to call my mother or friends it didn’t work because I didn’t have any reception. I looked around and thought that I went back in time. “But what year?, maybe this is all a dream’’ I thought.
I quickly got out of the sight of dinosaurs. Just in case they will hurt me. When walking it started to rain. I saw a big dark cave. Quickly ran over and sat down. I put my flash on so I can see and look. I thought maybe tomorrow I will wake up in my room the next day. So I started to fish for food and try to find some clothes for me. I had to take a shower in the lake and grab some fresh water from a different lake. I came across some big dinosaurs that were 2x my size. After a long day I sat on my uncomfortable bed and laid down. It was finally night and I could get some rest.
I closed my eyes and dozed off to sleep. I woke up the next day. But something was different. It was comfortable. I opened my eyes to find out I was back in my room. I standard up with joy. ‘’It was a dream” I thought. But when I looked down. I was still in my clothes made out of leaves and animal skin. ‘’First let’s get change’’ I say, going to my closet. ‘’That was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced’’ I say to myself. I then heard my mother call me for breakfast. “Coming Mom!’’ I yell. I can’t wait to have eggs instead of fish.
